The Lexmark T630 family of monochrome laser printers were released in April 2003 as replacements for the T520 and T620 series (Summer 2001). The T630’s print speeds ranged from 35 pages per minute (ppm) to 45 ppm. Multifunction versions were also available.

The T520 and T522 models were replaced by the T630, with the T632 replacing the T620. The T634 replaced the T622.

The T630, 632 and 634 printers all use the same standard (5,000-page) and high-yield (21,000- page) cartridges. An extra high-yield (32,000-page) version is available for use in the T632 and T634 only, with compatibility notches preventing its use in the T630 printers. All of the cartridges are chipped.

Nearly all of the internal cartridge components were borrowed from earlier models. Externally the cartridges differ from their predecessors in the placement of compatibility recesses, which prevent the units from being usable in the previous printer models.
